Week of June 23-28

Well this week has been pretty low-key. Jenna attended a Summer Camp, which I blogged about earlier. So we were running to drop her off and pick her up. Tuesday morning I went over to my friend, Melissa's house to visit while Jenna was at her camp. Melissa's son, Ethan also attended the camp.
The exciting part of the week was on Wednesday, we bought a Wii. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is an interactive gaming system that you plug into the t.v. The kids are having a blast with it. And yes, I will admit it, so am I. Funny thing about it, is that Tim and I talked about getting one, but decided to wait until he comes home. Also, they are in such high demand, you just can't find them in stock anywhere. Well On Wednesday we were in Walmart, and there they were... they just happened to get a big shipment in and just put them out on the floor... I was standing there, thinking "should I or shouldn't I? Oh, I wish I could talk to Tim and ask him!!" Well all of a sudden my cell phone rings (which is surprising to get cell service inside the store no less)...... IT'S TIM!!!!!! So we discussed it and decided to get it!!!

Check out that tongue!!!

Saturday, Gillian went down to Elmendorf AFB with our neighbors, Tim and Angie, and their girls Alex and Sara, to the Thunderbird AirShow. She had a great time.
Gillian and the neighbor girls, Alex and Sara have been busy selling lemonade and have made $18 in 2 days... I'd say they are doing pretty good. Here's a pic of the entrepreneurs.

My Friend Gretchen, took some time to take some photos of Jordyn at 6 weeks old. They are absolutely precious and timeless. I wanted to share with you. These were taken on June 9, 2008.

This is Sam at 7 months and Jordyn at 3 weeks.

Here is Ben & Jenna. Both will be 4 this summer.

Here is Rachel 6 yrs and Gillian 8 yrs.

Jenna Summer Camp

Jenna attended a Summer Camp this week called "Passport to Discovery." They traveled to different places and learned about them, crafts, music, clothes.... They had a great time. They were Vikings, went to Arabia, and North America. Here are a few pics from her week.

Wicket

Just another princess.

Couple Cute Pics

Just thought I would share.....

There are a few more pics added to the Girls Album too, check it out.

SHE'S 2 MONTHS OLD

Can you believe it? Jordyn is 2 months old already. Time is just flying by. Check out her smiles!!! She is such a good little girl. We have been so blessed. Jordyn is sleeping from about 10:30pm to 6:30am... so yes, Kari is getting some sleep. She is definitely a morning napper and then in the evening is her cluster feeding, wants to be held and talked too time. Evenings gets a little hard as that is the time of dinner, baths, bedtime for the other girls, but we are getting by. Gillian is such a great helper and will hold her and talk with her so I can get other things done. This little Princess outfit was picked out especially by her Daddy. Check out the link for a few more pics.

Jordyn's Doc Appt

Oh, I forgot to let you all know, that Jordyn's Doctor Appt went well. They took xrays of her feet/legs and then we saw Orthopedics. They feel that her feet are within normal range. Just need to keep an eye on things and makes sure they straighten out and she doesn't have any issues when she starts walking. So everything looks good. That's just what I wanted to hear!!!

Girls

Here are some recent pics of the girls. Click HERE for more shots.

At the Park - Summer Solstice

June 20, 2008
This evening we went to a park in Eagle River for a birthday party. The girls had a great time... and got filthy dirty. It was also Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year here. We had 19 hours, 21 minutes and 17 seconds of daylight. Sunrise rise was at 4:19am and Sunset was 11:42pm... but it really isn't dark then... it is like dusk, you can still see everything outside. The streets lights are just starting to come on. Its pretty crazy.... but now this means the days are going to start getting shorter and before we know it, we will be in the dead of winter.... dark and cold.
Enjoy the pics at the park. Click HERE to see more pics.

Week of June 16-20

It was a beautiful week here in ALASKA. The weather was great and we spent alot of time outside. Angie and I finally got my outdoor swing put together... so it was fun to sit out there with Jordyn and watch the girls play. The girls come in absolutely dirty every night... so we even fit baths in the busy schedule. Gillian attended a Drawing Camp and learned some techniques in drawing. Gillian's friend, Rachel came over for a sleepover monday night, and our neighbor, Sara had a sleepover wednesday night. We went out for a nice long walk/bike ride wednesday evening with our Neighbors Angie and her girls, Sara and Alex. It was fun and we got some exercise. Thursday night Gillian had went to Rachel's house for a sleepover. Friday morning Jordyn has an appt with Orthopedics, they want to take some xrays of her legs/feet and exam her, to make sure she doesn't have slightly clubfeet. They are really turned in and she doesn't like to put any weight on them at all.... so I will keep you updated on that. Then we are going to just run a few errands and then our friend Ben is having his Birthday Pary friday evening so we will attend that. We will be out of the house all day friday, from 8:30 am until probably 10pm. So it should be an interesting day... hope it goes smoothly. Hope this note finds everyone happy and healthy.
I will post again soon.

BEAUTIFUL BRUNETTE

Well here she is... Gillian got her hair cut and colored to her natural color... I would say she is a dark blonde/light brunette. Doesn't the haircut look good?

OUR STAR

Here is Gillian in her first musical. She starred in the Musical "How does your Garden Grow?" Her Character was a "WEED." Gillian and her cousin Noah, "GNOME" attended a 2 week Acting Camp and put the final performance on Friday night 6/13/08. She did such a great job and we are so proud of her. She had a solo in a rap song. I am going to try and add a little video on here, hopefully, in the next day or two... so keep posted.

Greetings to all

Well, we are finally online. We are really getting into this technology thing. Wish we would have done this sooner. What a great way to keep everyone up to date on this Galloway Clan. Living far away from our family and friends makes it hard to connect at times, so hopefully this will make it easier. Not sure how often I will be able to update, as you all know, my hands are pretty busy these days, but I will try to do it at least once a week. It may take me a bit to get pics uploaded and this whole blog thing figured out. So keep checking the site to see blogs on what we are doing, new pics and by all means, write to us!!!!

Love to all.
